Hi, I’m the founder of NakhreWaali.
At 24, I had a loud rebellion brewing inside me. I was tired of being told
I was “too much,” and wondered- could there be more girls like me?
So I conspired a louder rebellion.

I walked away from every “shiny” thing; left home, left Google, turned
down a B-school admit - to build NakhreWaali.
A brand, yes, but more importantly, a canvas. A place to channel my post-teenage chaos, express my quirks, and (almost shamelessly) give myself permission to discover:
Who am I, really? What are my Nakhras?

Turns out, I wasn’t the only one.
Over the past seven years, what began with ₹1.5 lakh & a wild gut feeling grew into a community of 5,00,000+ women around the world (still feels like a dream!!). We rooted for each other and built a love story that celebrated self-expression: loud, handmade, unapologetically us and in all the colors we’re told to tone down.

Earlier in 2025, NakhreWaali was acquired!

I never imagined I’d write those words :) but I couldn’t have dreamed of a better ending (or beginning) for my first child, my labor of love, my most cherished identity.

As my Nani once said:
“Kaam karo toh aisa karo ki kaam ko khushi ho ki tumne usko kiya.”
(If you must work, do it in a way that makes the work itself feel lucky to have found you.)

NakhreWaali, a D2C eco-conscious (and eco-fabulous!) fashion accessories brand, seamlessly blends India’s
rich cultural heritage with modern aesthetics. Founded in 2017, the brand has expanded to
11 countries over the last six years, achieving a 300%+ growth in annual revenue while cultivating a loyal community of 150,000+ customers .

An bootstrapped brand, with a healthy profit margin exceeding 35%, a lean marketing spend at 10% of revenue, and a balanced retail model: 40% D2C & 60% B2B2C, demonstrating a strong founder-market fit.

By innovating through design & reviving traditional textiles, NakhreWaali introduced a new category of “fashion jewellery”, and managed to secure a 30% increase in market share within the segment. The brand’s artisan-led approach has empowered over 100 women artisans across India, reinforcing its commitment to social impact.

The brand's distinct focus on human symbolism & life-centric design has garnered international acclaim, with features at the Academy Awards (Oscars) and coverage in prestigious publications such as Vogue Italia, The Economic Times, Elle Czech Republic & Cosmopolitan India. Its recognition by institutions like IIM Bangalore, IIM Shillong and celebrity endorsements from Sonam Kapoor & Sara Ali Khan further underscore its influence.

Thought leadership is dead. Long live thoughtfulness. (and nakhras)
